The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani was created in 1969 by Haryana Act No. 11 of 1969 with its headquarters in Chandigarh later went to Bhiwani in January 1981. The Council began with a staff of 100 officials allocated from Punjab University, Chandigarh and conducted the first review of the level of enrollment (class 10) in 1970. The Council began conducting a review of the Middle from 1976 to improve educational standards at Middle level. The Board adopted 10 +2 pattern of education and class XII examination conducted under the new regime after 1987. He began conducting 10 +2 exam in 1990, given the need and relevance of teacher professionalism in the context of rapidly changing economic scenario.
Furthermore, in order to reach the unreached, which was set up in Haryana Open School in 1994 and thus began the introduction of training times, who could not receive education or is unable to continue because of reasons different.
