Bachelor of Pharmacy Fitness Test (GPAT-2011) is an all India examination to be carried out by the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, on behalf of all Council of Technical Education in India, New Delhi.

Scores on the aptitude test graduate in engineering (GATE) was used until 2009 for admission to the Master in Pharmacy (M. Pharm) and also for granting Fellowships / Scholarships for pharmacy graduates with the engineers. The Organizing Committee for GATE expressed its inability to include candidates in pharmacy GATE with effect from the year 2010 due to operational problems due to the large number of candidates present themselves to the control gate.
Therefore, in order to facilitate the admission of Pharmacy degree M. Pharm, as well as providing grants / scholarships for pharmacy graduates, AICT decided to organize and carry out research on behalf of Pharmacy Graduate Aptitude Test (GPAT) from the academic year 2010 -11. Consequently, the National Monitoring Committee (NMC) was formed follow-up issues relating to the policies and the conduct of research GPAT.
The recommendation of the National Monitoring Committee for GPAT, the burden of conducting the first study GPAT or GPAT-2010 was created in MS University of Baroda, Vadodara.
